YOGA

ENG

My encounter with yoga, and the theoretical and practical exploration that followed, have redefined my relationship with the art of dance, artistic creation, and teaching. In the practice of yoga, I found a deep sense of grounding—a firm foundation from which the different areas of my research now take shape and find their direction.

But what kind of yoga?

A yoga that draws from the original source of its techniques, freeing itself and shedding the layers of every subsequent transformation.

Yoga as an exercise in presence: an invitation to inhabit the body, a guide to listening, a care for detail, and a renewed awareness that permeates each gesture.

Yoga as perceptual awakening: the possibility, through its techniques, of creating the conditions for a more receptive, porous body—as though it could immerse itself more deeply in reality, inhabiting it with greater clarity and restoring value and depth to every experience.

Yoga as vitality: listening to the breath, studying the act of breathing, and coming into contact with the tangible manifestation of our vital breath. Simply pausing to observe the breath, trying to leave it undisturbed, is already a way of opening our gaze to the life force that animates us. It means coming into contact with the most intangible presence flowing through existence: the energy of life.

And finally, yoga as a field of revelation: the body is our interlocutor and, when questioned through the techniques, becomes a threshold, a window, an opening onto a new landscape—a space of experience in which there are no definitive answers, but renewed ways of looking at ourselves, at others, and at the rest of the natural world.

Each practitioner is invited to discover their own experience, because every body holds a unique story.
